Quantum Leap Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Yesterday when I came back home, I asked Myra what she did in Aunty (babysitter) house.

She said “baby Di Di”. Later I found out, Aunty had decided to take on additional baby under her care. Now she is taking care 3 months old baby boy besides Myra. We are absolutely fine with that, but just surprised to find out without being informed earlier. Not good, aunty. Hopefully no more surprises.

I still remember, Myra learned to walk before she turned 1. The week after her 1st birthday, out of sudden she walked all by herself without holding on to anything. Though she walked like a man who just got out from terrible sea sick but she walked quite a fair bit. It was like a quantum leap.

Now she just turned 2. She had been learning to talk for months, just words, occasionally phrase of 2 words. A week after her 2nd birthday, I notice she does speak quite a lot, phrase of 3- 4 words, eg: “I want drink milk milk” “Papa plays block block here” and etc. And she can follow after our words very well and accurate. Another quantum leap.

Every birthday is a big milestone for children.

Last few days, I suddenly had a feeling. My little gal ain’t little anymore. She can speak a lot now, she runs very fast and very steadily. Her understanding is very good.

I better get my work done quickly, and spend more time with her. Teach good values to her, and pray that she will has a great start in life.
